Jian received a B.S. in Chemical Biology and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tsinghua University. His interests include the structural elucidation of disease-related membrane proteins and structure-based drug discovery. His current research focuses on understanding the molecular basis for the modulation of voltage-gated sodium/calcium channels (Na_v/Ca_v).
